ABOUT TRAINING2XL

Training2XL is a Toronto based performance coaching service that was founded on November 28th 2015, by Alena Luciani. It began when graduating athletes who no longer had access to their school’s facilities approached her for strength training programs. These humble beginnings would expand and allow Training2XL the opportunities to train and work with NHL, CFL, NCAA, OHL, and USports teams, players, and coaches.

At Training2XL, we believe that education, integrity, and impact are paramount in the pursuit of a meaningful life, and it is our vision to become a trusted resource in the performance coaching community. We offer services for both athletes in sport and athletes in life with 1:1 and small group training, programming and more. The School of TRAINING2XL is a space for coaches, trainers, and movement practitioners to level up their coaching with practical continuing education and mentorship.

Whether you are an athlete of sport, or an athlete of life, we will help you excel.

TRAINING2XL:

Helping athletes excel in the game of life.

ABOUT ALENA

MSc, CSCS [RSCC], Pn1
My name is Alena Luciani (she/her), and I am the founder and head coach of Training2XL. I grew up immersed in sport, and have always considered myself to be an athlete. My sports journey led me to Wilfrid Laurier University where I played varsity basketball and varsity lacrosse, and earned my B.A. in kinesiology. I then went on to receive my Masters of Sports Science and Recreation with a distinction in Coaching from Ohio University. I have not stopped my pursuit of education since receiving my degrees, and have gone on to be certified as a Strength & Conditioning Specialist [Registered Strength & Conditioning Specialist] with the National Strength & Conditioning Association, as well as a USA Weightlifting Sport Performance Coach, and Precision Nutrition Level-1 Coach. I’d like to consider myself forever a student of the game!

It is my passion to work with coaches and athletes who aim to excel in the game of life⚡️
